Barcelona is a beautiful city located on the Northeast of Spain. Many people are familiar with the famous La Sagrada Familia church, Gaudí architecture, Park Güell, markets like the Mercado de La Boqueria and the many tapas restaurants.
In October, my mother visited and we decided to spend a couple days exploring Barcelona, Spain. We, unknowingly, visited over Spain’s national holiday. While it was cool to experience, I would personally advise against visiting then. The city was still absolutely beautiful but the crowds were unreal and made enjoying the popular sites a bit challenging.
