A collection of images shot in Saint-Rémy, France.
Saint-Rémy (aka St. Rémy or Saint-Rémy-de-Provence) is located in the south of France in the Provence region. It is a super cute, clean, picturesque city that I highly recommend checking out.
Top attractions include:
- The Grande Marché Provençal de Saint Rémy de Provence (a Wednesday morning market).
- Les Antiques + Site Archéological de Glanum (Roman ruins, the first is free, the second is not).
- The Vincent Van Gogh walking path (slightly overrated, signs of his work scattered through town).
- The Monastery Saint-Paul de Mausole (where Van Gogh lived for a year towards the end of his life, there is Van Gogh museum and recreation of his old room when he lived here in the late 1800’s).
How I spent my morning here:
- Visited on a Wednesday, arrived early to beat the crowds and parked here for free.
- Roamed the Grande Marché Provençal de Saint Rémy de Provence.
- Walked to the tourism office for a free Van Gogh walking map.
- Walked to the Monastery Saint-Paul de Mausole (about a 15 min/1.2km walk, costs 7€)
- Checked out Les Antiques / skipped the Archeological site.
- Headed back into town and wandered the streets, checked out other items on the free map.
All the photos included in this album were taken using my lightweight Sony camera. You can check out a complete list of my current street photography gear here.
